Foveal Ligament Injuries

Foveal Ligament Injuries
In young adults with hip pain, when the MRI does not show anything obvious at first glance, there are specific points one should examine
1. S I joints
2. Labrum for tears
3. The head and acetabulum for FAI
and lastly
4. The foveal ligamentsThese are two different patients who have thickening and edema of the foveal ligament with deepening of the fossa suggesting a sprain injury likely due to repetitive trauma.
